Based on crime, education and overall economy,
many magazines have done lists that rank the best and worst places to
raise a family. Many of the best places are small towns like
Burlington, Vermont and Midwest cities like Madison, Wisconsin and
Fargo, North Dakota. If you are looking for a place with lots of spaces
for your kids to play these are great choices. The cities that ranked
as the worst places to raise a family where often high crime cities
like Vegas and Miami. Here is a list of some of those worst places to
raise a family. If you don't want to have your Mercedes BMW rims
stolen, don't live in these cities.
Miami, Florida
Maybe the lists are skewed towards areas that
aren’t overpopulated and full of lush green greens and quaint sidewalks
and backyards your kids can play in. Miami isn’t really a kid friendly
city, and it likes it that way. Miami is known for being a party city,
a city to let loose in and have a good time, not necessarily a family
friendly place to raise the kids and Fido. And honestly, there isn’t
really anything wrong with that, we need places like Miami in the
world, places that you can go there and not see a kid for miles and
miles. A place where you can be yourself and not have to stop at Child
Crossing signs. Miami, don’t ever change.
Memphis, Tennessee

Memphis as one of the worst places to raise a family, but that doesn’t
mean it’s a terrible place. Memphis is a historic city full of life
lights and music and sure, it may not be the best place to raise a
family but it’s a great city nonetheless. If you are in the Memphis
area and you want to raise a family, Little Rock and Nashville often
come up better in rankings. If you’re looking for that picturesque
small down to raise your kids than Memphis isn’t the best place to be.
Memphis is a beautiful place that has been hit hard by crime and the
actual city is very poor, with a large percentage of people on welfare
and some of the highest statistics for rape and car theft.
